The Mentoring + Training Program

If you are in or near NYC, you have the option of mentoring with Jill in person, on the phone or via Skype. If you are not in the vicinity, mentoring is easily done visually with Skype or on the phone.

Mentoring provides consistency, an opportunity for personal development and trust. A teacher taking a student in this way has traditionally been an important step in the maturation and commitment to each student and the development of her skills and practices.

All areas of practice and teaching will be covered in your sessions – from meditation guidance, recommended reading and study, asana sequences for your personal use, visualizations when appropriate, and support for the personal inquiry necessary for this work with others.

About the Mentoring Component

There are opportunities open to a few dedicated practitioners to be individually and as a small group -  guided more deeply into this work. Being accepted as a mentee means you will receive personal guidance for your path of meditation, yoga, teaching the populations of your choice, and/or weaving the skills of meditation, yoga and emotional support into your current work.

SCA mentorship will be  available to a limited number of students each year, by filling out the application below. This is a very special and meaningful relationship -  one that you will be able to feel safe in, expand with – and draw upon endlessly. You will be part of a Sangha (spiritual community) from which you will also receive, friendships, ideas, fun and networking.

You will be contacted to arrange for a personal meeting (or skype call) with Jill prior to the start of the fall/winter or winter/spring season.

Bi - Monthly Supervision Groups:

Supervision groups will be open to any teacher ( yoga, meditation, school) , psychologist, therapist, social worker, facilitator who would like to bring case studies, personal questions, and or concerns to be discussed in a safe, colleague populated and guided group. Led by Jill Satterfield, these groups offer advice and counseling for practices of body, mind and heart - meditation, yoga therapy, body/mind practices - skills for populations in need.

Cost for supervision group: $25 per session, or included in the cost of The Mentoring Program
